I have been in Singapore for a month and I love the hawker centres but I am not sure I am doing everything correctly. I have seen people leave tissue packets on tables to reserve seats - is that actually acceptable? How do you order from multiple stalls - do you order everything first and then sit, or sit first and then order? And is it rude to share a table with strangers? I want to eat like a local but I do not want to be accidentally rude. Any tips would be appreciated.
