Spent a day hunting down the famous street art murals in George Town and it was one of the most enjoyable days I have had in Malaysia. The iron rod sculptures and the painted murals are scattered throughout the old town and finding them feels like a treasure hunt. The murals by Ernest Zacharevic are particularly good - they interact with the architecture in clever ways. The old town itself is beautiful, a UNESCO heritage site with a mix of Chinese, Malay, and colonial architecture. George Town is one of the great cities of Southeast Asia.
