Spent a weekend in Novi Sad and I was not prepared for how much I would love it. The old town is beautiful, the fortress above the Danube is spectacular, and the cafe culture is incredible - people sitting outside for hours, no one in a hurry. Had the best cevapi I have eaten anywhere, drank local wine from Fruska Gora, and watched the sunset from the fortress walls. The city is relaxed and confident in a way that Belgrade is not. I am already planning to go back.
