Took a boat tour to see proboscis monkeys in the mangroves near Bandar Seri Begawan and I am still thinking about it. These monkeys with their enormous noses are so bizarre and so charismatic. Watched a group of about twenty moving through the trees at dusk, the males with their huge noses and pot bellies, the babies clinging to their mothers. The guide knew exactly where to find them. Brunei has some of the best wildlife watching in Southeast Asia and almost nobody knows about it.
