Everyone talks about Gili Trawangan for the parties but I went to Gili Meno instead and it was exactly what I needed. Almost no cars or motorbikes, just bicycles and horse carts. Snorkeled with sea turtles every morning, read books in a hammock every afternoon, ate fresh grilled fish every evening. The island is small enough to walk around in an hour. Met maybe twenty other travelers the whole time. If you want the Gili Islands experience without the noise, Meno is the one.
