I want to rent a scooter to explore Taiwan more freely but I am confused about the license requirements. I have a regular car driving license from my home country but no specific motorcycle license. I have heard Taiwan has an international driving permit system but I am not sure if it covers scooters. Has anyone navigated this recently? Also wondering about insurance - what happens if I have an accident? Any practical advice from people who have rented scooters here would be really helpful.
