Almost skipped Taman Negara because the journey seemed complicated but I am so glad I went. Took a boat up the river to the park entrance, walked the canopy walkway 40 meters above the forest floor, and spent a night in a hide listening to the jungle sounds. Saw hornbills, monitor lizards, and what I am fairly sure was a wild boar. The forest is 130 million years old and you can feel the age of it. Nothing I have seen in Southeast Asia compares to this.
