Spent three weeks Wwoofing on a sheep farm in the South Island and it completely changed my trip. Worked four hours a day in exchange for accommodation and meals, spent the rest of the time exploring. Learned to muster sheep, fix fences, and make proper New Zealand scones. The family treated me like a guest, not a worker. Woke up every morning to mountains and silence. This is the New Zealand that does not make it into the Instagram posts.
