Wandered into Little India on a Sunday afternoon and it was a completely different city. The streets were packed with people, the smell of jasmine garlands and spices was overwhelming, music coming from every direction. Had a banana leaf rice lunch that was the best meal I have had in Singapore - unlimited refills of rice, dal, rasam, and three vegetable curries for about SGD 8. Watched a group of men playing cards outside a temple. This is the Singapore I want to spend more time in.
