Did the Great Ocean Road drive last weekend and I genuinely did not expect it to be that good. The Twelve Apostles are impressive but what got me was everything in between - the little surf towns, the rainforest sections, the random lookouts where you pull over and there is just this dramatic coastline with no one else around. Stopped in Apollo Bay for fish and chips on the pier. Drove back through the Otways in the dark with wallabies crossing the road. One of the best days I have had in Australia.
