Just arrived in the US on a work visa and trying to get a phone plan. I have been told I need a Social Security Number and credit history for most postpaid plans but I do not have either yet. Has anyone navigated this recently? I have heard T-Mobile and Mint Mobile have options for new arrivals. Also wondering if it is worth just getting a prepaid SIM to start with. What did people here do when they first arrived?
