Moving to Auckland next month for a one-year work visa and need to find a flat. I have been looking at TradeMe and Facebook groups but not sure which is most reliable. What is the typical process - do you pay a bond? How much notice do landlords usually require? Also wondering about the Ponsonby vs Grey Lynn vs Mt Eden areas - which is better for someone who works in the CBD and wants to be able to walk or cycle to work? Any advice appreciated.
