Turkish breakfast has ruined all other breakfasts for me. The spread at my local kahvalti place includes olives, white cheese, tomatoes, cucumbers, eggs cooked three ways, honey, clotted cream, simit, and at least four types of jam. You sit there for two hours drinking endless glasses of tea and eating slowly. It is a social event, not just a meal. I have started doing this every Sunday and it has become the best part of my week in Istanbul.
