Been living in Istanbul for six months and the street food scene still surprises me. The simit sellers are everywhere at dawn, the midye dolma (stuffed mussels) guys appear at night, and the kokorec sandwiches after midnight are something I never expected to love. The balik ekmek boats on the Galata Bridge are touristy but genuinely delicious. Every neighborhood has its own specialty. I could spend a year just eating my way through this city.
