Three weeks in Singapore and I have basically given up cooking. Why would you when hawker centres exist? Had the most incredible chicken rice at Maxwell Food Centre today - the poached chicken was so tender and the rice cooked in chicken broth was fragrant and rich. Followed it up with a bowl of laksa that had me sweating but smiling. All for under SGD 10. This city knows how to eat.
